Using technology and the talents of young people to pay tribute to those who died for the Fatherland is the motto of Team Lee, a group of young people who restore photos of heroes who participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.
On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954), a group of young people passionate about photo restoration named Team Lee donated 32 restored portraits of People's Armed Forces Heroes to the Dien Bien Provincial Museum.
These are typical heroes in the historic Dien Bien Phu Campaign, many of whom sacrificed their lives and entered history such as Phan Dinh Giot, To Vinh Dien...
Images of heroes are reconstructed from old photos or family memorabilia before their sacrifice.
Now the heroes of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign have bright photos, on their lips are still the smiles of youth who were not afraid to sacrifice their lives for the Fatherland.
Team Lee leader Phung Quang Trung and his team once caused a stir with their campaign to help families "reunite" martyrs who unfortunately died about 2 years ago.
Since then, Mr. Trung and Team Lee have always received requests to restore images of the deceased, combine family reunion photos... according to requests completely free of charge.
Sometimes, bereaved families simply wish to keep a glowing portrait or a family reunion photo with the deceased to satisfy their longing.
Phung Quang Trung shared on his personal page that the spirit of the photo restoration project is the application of technology and the creativity of the young generation to express gratitude to their ancestors, those who fell to win the future for the Fatherland and the nation.
"With this project, I hope that everyone today will be able to see images of heroes from the legendary Dien Bien Phu Campaign, contributing to the historic victory of our entire nation," Trung added.
