Ms. Pham Thi Them, sister of martyr Pham Van Thu in Tu Ky town, emotionally hugged her brother's portrait.

100 photos of martyrs were made and completed by young people in 1 week, from old photos that had faded over time. There were martyrs who did not have old photos to worship, so Team Lee group restored them from portraits of relatives.

Each photo is a tragic story about heroes who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation. The program is a gratitude of the young people to the previous generation, at the same time encouraging and sharing with the relatives of the martyrs.

At the program, sponsors presented many meaningful gifts to relatives and families of martyrs.

On the same morning, the Provincial Youth Union visited, presented martyrs’ photos and gifts to two heroic Vietnamese mothers in Ngoc Ky and Hung Dao communes (Tu Ky). Both mothers had two children who were martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the resistance wars to protect the Fatherland.

This is an activity of Hai Duong youth towards the 49th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2024) and the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024).

Team Lee is a group of young people from many provinces and cities, including those in Hai Duong. The group has restored and donated hundreds of photos of heroic martyrs across the country. Starting from December 2023, the group has coordinated with the Hai Duong Provincial Youth Union to connect and restore photos of 12 martyrs in Nam Sach, Thanh Ha, and Ninh Giang districts.

Below are some pictures from the program "Hai Duong - Return Day":
