According to Sputnik (Russia), the new study was conducted on about 14,000 people between the ages of 100 and 107. Specifically, scientists assessed the personality traits of the study participants and found that long-lived people had 19 similar personality traits - including gratitude, enthusiasm for learning, activity, curiosity and high intelligence quotient.

The most prominent personality trait observed in centenarians was curiosity. Other traits such as humor, religious faith, cheerfulness, and courage were also found to be the second most important factors contributing to their longevity. According to scientists, these personality traits are the "key" to maintaining a healthy body, especially mental health. Researchers are planning to continue studying this remarkable age group.

Analysis of the lifestyles of centenarians has highlighted factors that help older people live healthy lives. Experts emphasize that nurturing curiosity, exploring different cultures, traveling, reading and constant intellectual activity are also special factors that help people live longer and more successfully.

Previous studies have also revealed that training memory in youth also contributes to maintaining memory ability in later years.
