Currently, the construction unit of Phi Xa bridge connecting Le Hong and Tu Cuong communes (Thanh Mien) is focusing on speeding up the construction progress of abutments, girder casting and girder installation, striving to complete construction and open to traffic by May 30.
According to the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, Phi Xa Bridge has completed the construction of abutments M2, T1 and T2, and is currently constructing abutment M1. The casting of 14/15 girders has been completed and 2 girder spans (span 3 and span 2) have been installed. Regarding the road, the construction unit has completed the road embankment and 10m of the M2 bridgehead, and completed the unloading of M1.
Phi Xa Bridge connects Le Hong and Tu Cuong communes (Thanh Mien) across Cuu An River, on the East-West axis at km6 + 833, the bridge length is 154 m, the bridge cross-section is 12 m. The total construction value is about 48 billion VND.
It is expected that on April 29, the construction unit will pour concrete for the bridge deck of span 2, on May 8, install the girder of span 1 (last span), and on May 15, pour concrete for the bridge deck of the last span, expected to open to traffic on May 30, 2024.
