A man in Phu Tho’s trick to dry clothes during the wet season has caused a lot of controversy. Some people think that this is an initiative to help clothes dry quickly and also make the house more airy.
However, many people object, saying that this is a "bad idea", wasting electricity and making the house more humid.

After one night, the clothes are dry and fragrant”; “I live in an apartment, in the humid season, I just close the door, dry the clothes inside, and turn on the dehumidifier. After just one day, everything is dry”...
Talking to reporters, Mr. Mai Xuan Hung (from Phu Tho) shared more about his tips for drying clothes during the wet season.
He said that a year ago, he bought a washing machine with a clothes dryer to solve the problem of drying clothes during the wet season, but he was not completely satisfied.
In recent days, when the weather is humid, even though the clothes have been dried by machine, they are still not completely dry and fragrant. He thought of a solution, after washing and drying, he would add one more step: hang the clothes in the middle of the house and then turn on the ceiling fan to dry them completely.
“I know that during the wet season, you shouldn’t turn on the fan because the more you fan, the more humid the house becomes. However, my house is designed to be discreet, so even during the wet season, it is not affected much, from the floor to the living space is always dry. Therefore, turning on the fan does not make the house more humid.”
During the wet season, Mr. Hung always closes the doors to limit the entry of humid air. In addition, he has a secret to purifying the air in the house, which is to fumigate the house with soapberry.
“During the wet season, the air has a lot of bacteria, causing respiratory diseases. During this season, you should clean the air by burning some charcoal in a ceramic bowl, then breaking 20 soapberries into small pieces, placing them in an airy place in the house for about 30 minutes. This is an effective way to fumigate the room and clean the air,” Mr. Hung is currently a doctor of oriental medicine, so he is confident in this method.
In addition, he advises families with means to buy a separate clothes dryer to make washing and drying clothes during the wet season easier.
