Cage fish farmers in Nam Sach (Hai Duong) are proactively preventing floods. By noon on July 25, flood water was good for cage fish farming here.

Speaking to Hai Duong Newspaper reporters, Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Nam Sach district, Mac Van Tuan, said that as of noon on July 25, Nam Sach district (Hai Duong) had not recorded any damage caused by floods to fish farming in cages on the river.

The district currently has 3,247 fish cages on the river, mainly carp and silver carp. The current rainy, stormy and flooded weather is favorable for fish cage farming.

People in Nam Hung commune, Nam Sach district (Hai Duong) said that this flood is beneficial for raising fish in cages on the river.

Directly recorded at some fish cage farms on the river in Nam Sach district, the water flow is strong but not too fast. People have implemented measures to reinforce cages, mooring lines, and nets so they are not damaged. Flood water also helps the water source to be cleaner, with more oxygen, which is good for fish.

However, in some locations with strong water flows such as Nam Tan commune, along with hot weather after the storm, there are still sporadic fish deaths. People are not subjective, still on duty day and night to monitor the situation, proactively responding to the impact of floods.
