Gia Loc farmers request support to overcome damage caused by storm No. 3

On October 23, Gia Loc District Party Secretary Dang Xuan Thuong had a dialogue with cadres and farmers' association members of Gia Loc district.

At the dialogue, farmers' association members of Gia Loc district reflected that due to the impact of storm No. 3, agricultural production households were severely affected, leading to difficulties in debt repayment and inability to meet new loan conditions... Proposing the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development to implement solutions to remove difficulties for affected households through the development and implementation of new credit support packages, reducing loan interest rates... so that households can restore and promote production and business activities...

Responding to this content, Gia Loc District Party Secretary Dang Xuan Thuong and representatives of the district's professional agencies assessed that storm No. 3 had significantly affected production and people's lives. Immediately after the storm, Gia Loc district had activities to support disadvantaged families who suffered losses in life and property. Following instructions from superiors, localities are also reviewing the damage to have appropriate plans to support people to overcome difficulties. The State Bank of Vietnam has issued timely and drastic instructions with many practical solutions to support people and businesses to overcome the damage caused by the storm.

In recent times, Hai Duong has implemented many mechanisms and policies to support farmers in developing production such as: supporting 5 million VND/ha/year for the first 2 years when leasing land to qualified organizations and individuals, supporting seedlings to form specialized areas; supporting the construction of greenhouses and net houses to develop production and increase income...

At the dialogue, delegates also raised many issues such as: Doan Thuong - Thach Khoi canal, Bac Hung Hai system and some canals have been polluted for many years, significantly affecting production and people's lives. There is a lot of waste in households and residential areas, but the centralized garbage pits are overloaded, causing environmental pollution. The district is requested to have solutions to collect it to a centralized waste treatment plant...

Gia Loc District Party Secretary Dang Xuan Thuong and representatives of the district's specialized departments and offices answered a number of related issues. Some contents beyond the district's authority were accepted and recommended to superiors for resolution.
