High-chassis cars worth buying under 700 million VND

In recent years, high-chassis vehicles have become a new trend in the Vietnamese market due to their versatility, convenience and ability to move on many different terrains. High-chassis vehicle models such as SUV/Crossover have also been frequently renewed and upgraded by manufacturers recently, helping Vietnamese customers have many quality choices.

Below are 5 new high-chassis car models worth considering in the price range under 700 million VND:

Mitsubishi Xforce Premium: 680 million VND

Mitsubishi Xforce is a new product that entered the B-size urban SUV segment in early 2024, but immediately achieved impressive sales with 3,890 units sold in the first half of 2024, becoming the leading model in the segment. Imported completely from Indonesia with 4 versions, of which the second highest version Premium is considered the dominant product with a selling price of 680 million VND.

Powering the Mitsubishi Xforce is a 1.5L naturally aspirated gasoline engine, combined with a CVT gearbox and front-wheel drive. This configuration produces a maximum capacity of 103 horsepower and a maximum torque of 141Nm, which is considered "sufficient" for a B-SUV model.

Although the Xforce Premium doesn't have the full Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) or Yamaha sound system like the Ultimate, this version still has some outstanding features that are not inferior to the highest-end versions of competitors in the same segment, such as active cornering control, blind spot warning and cross-traffic alert when reversing.

Hyundai Creta high-end version: 676 million VND

In the B-SUV segment, Hyundai Creta is also a best-selling model with sales of 2,814 units in the first half of 2024. With a price range of under 700 million VND, users can only access the highest-end version of this model with a suggested retail price of 676 million VND.

The high-end Hyundai Creta, like other versions, uses a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine configuration combined with a CVT gearbox and front-wheel drive. This engine block produces a maximum capacity of 115 horsepower and 144Nm of torque, slightly more than its competitors.

In addition to popular options, the high-end version of Hyundai Creta is also equipped with amenities such as an automatic air conditioning system with integrated ion-depletion technology, rear seats with separate air vents, front seat heating and cooling system, cruise control, MSLA speed limiter, electronic handbrake and automatic brake hold, tire pressure sensor, and rear camera.

KIA Seltos 1.5 Luxury: 679 million VND

Once considered one of the best-selling car models in the Vietnamese market, however, under competitive pressure from rivals in the same segment, Kia Seltos has recently lost its position. In the first 6 months of 2024, 2,607 Seltos were sold, less than many competitors in the B-SUV segment. However, Seltos is still a model worth considering in the price range of around 700 million VND.

New Seltos or Seltos 2024 has been upgraded by THACO-KIA and introduced to the market a total of 6 versions, of which 4 versions AT, Deluxe, Luxury and Premium use Smartstream 1.5G gasoline engine, capacity of 113 horsepower and maximum torque of 144 Nm, with CVT automatic transmission. The two high versions Turbo Luxury and GT-Line use 1.5L Turbo turbocharged gasoline engine, capacity of 158 horsepower and maximum torque of 253 Nm, combined with 7-speed DCT dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Among the above versions, the mid-range version Seltos 1.5 Luxury priced at 679 million is chosen by many people. Although not the most advanced version, Seltos 1.5 Luxury still has an appearance almost identical to the Premium version with large 17-inch rims, LED headlights, sporty bumpers,...

The 1.5 Luxury lacks information display on the windshield HUD, wireless charging, seat cooling, rain sensor, electric trunk, paddle shift, Kia Connect. In return, the car is still equipped with electronic handbrake with Auto Hold brake and remote start.

Mazda CX-30 Luxury: 699 million VND

Launched in the Vietnamese market in April 2021 as an import from Thailand, the Mazda CX-30 is positioned by the Japanese automaker as a wedge between the B and C-size SUV segments (between the Mazda CX-3 and CX-5). Although sales are quite poor, with only 670 units in the first 6 months of 2024, experts still rate the Mazda CX-30 as one of the cars with an eye-catching, modern and safe appearance.

Mazda CX-30 has 2 versions: Luxury and Premium, both using Skyactiv-G 2.0L gasoline engine, producing maximum capacity of 153 horsepower and maximum torque of 200Nm, combined with 6-speed automatic transmission.

The initial listed price of CX-30 given by THACO-Mazda was over 800 million VND, however, after many adjustments, the selling price of this model for the 2 Luxury and Premium versions is 699 and 739 million VND. In which, the Luxury version with a price of less than 700 million VND can be a quality choice today.

The Mazda CX-30 Luxury is fully equipped with the same essential safety list as the Premium version, including ABS, EBD, BAS, traction control, electronic balance, hill start assist, rear camera, parking sensors and 7 airbags. However, with a price 40 million lower, the Luxury version lacks the high-end I-Activsense safety package with a series of features such as: lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, blind spot warning, cross traffic warning when reversing, smart braking...

Mitsubishi Xpander Cross: 698 million VND

In addition to the B-size SUV/crossover segment, another name is the most premium "SUV-ized" version of the Mitsubishi Xpander MPV model, the Xpander Cross, which is also worth considering with a financial range of nearly 700 million. Specifically, the Xpander Cross is currently listed at 698 million, however, this imported car from Indonesia is being discounted by 50% on registration fees, along with some gifts from the dealer.

Mitsubishi Xpander Cross was launched in the Vietnamese market in July 2020 and was refreshed in early 2023 as an import from Indonesia like its brother Xpander. This high-chassis vehicle uses a 1.5L MIVEC engine, combined with a 4-speed automatic transmission, front-wheel drive.
