The total value of gifts given by children from Kim Thanh hometown in Ho Chi Minh City is more than 284 million VND to 131 poor households and students in especially difficult circumstances in the district.
On the afternoon of March 30, Kim Thanh district coordinated with a number of Kim Thanh natives living and working in Ho Chi Minh City to organize the program "Dreams fly high" to give gifts to the poor and disadvantaged children in the entire district.
At the program, the benefactors presented gifts to 131 poor households and students in difficult circumstances. Specifically, 55 bicycles were presented; 71 gifts, each worth 700,000 VND, were given to poor households and 5 scholarships, each worth 5 million VND/year, with a 5-year scholarship support period. The total value of the program was more than 284 million VND.
Vice Chairman of Kim Thanh District People's Committee Pham Viet Tuan assessed that these are gifts from the heart and affection towards the homeland of Kim Thanh's children who are living, studying and working in Ho Chi Minh City, contributing to sharing, supporting, helping poor households and students with especially difficult circumstances in the district to have more conditions to improve their lives and study. Mr. Tuan expressed his hope that in the coming time, Kim Thanh's hometown will continue to receive the attention and support of benefactors who are children of the hometown living and working all over the country in general, and Ho Chi Minh City in particular.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kim Thanh district awarded 8 "Golden Heart Recognition" certificates to representatives of philanthropists.
