From March 6 to 8, the Women's Union of Hai Duong province visited, worked and gave gifts to women in Sen Thuong commune, Muong Nhe district, Dien Bien province.
This is an activity in response to the program "Accompanying women in the border areas" launched by the Vietnam Women's Union and on the occasion of International Women's Day, March 8.
Hai Duong Provincial Women's Union presented livelihood models worth 35 million VND and 5 million VND to poor women in Sen Thuong commune; donated solar lighting works worth 20 million VND to the Kindergarten and People's Committee of Sen Thuong commune.

On this occasion, the delegation of the Provincial Women's Union visited and presented many necessities and sports equipment worth more than 10 million VND to officers and soldiers of Sen Thuong Border Guard Station and many items for women and children in the area.
Sen Thuong Commune has 7 villages with more than 95% of the population being Ha Nhi ethnic group. The commune has 24 km of border with China, a high poverty rate, and people's lives are still difficult. This is a locality that the Hai Duong Provincial Women's Union accompanies in the period 2021-2026. The Hai Duong Provincial Women's Union is also one of 7 units nationwide to help 9 extremely difficult border communes of Dien Bien province.
Previously, in December 2023, a working delegation of the Hai Duong Provincial Women's Union also visited and presented gifts to Muong Nhe district.
