At around 8:00 a.m. on June 15, 2024, at an empty lot in Ngoc Chau urban area, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Team (Hai Duong City Police) coordinated to arrest Tran Van Vinh (born in 1974, residing in Nguyen Trai Ward) and Nguyen Dinh Hung (born in 1975, in Tran Hung Dao Ward, Hai Duong City) for organizing illegal drug use. Expanding the investigation of the case, the Investigation Police Agency of Hai Duong City Police clarified that the subject Pham Hoang Son (born in 1963) was a resident of Ngoc Chau Ward who sold drugs to Vinh. Searching Son's residence urgently, the police agency seized 6 packages of heroine hidden for illegal use and sale. The subjects Vinh and Hung were prosecuted by the Investigation Police Agency of Hai Duong City Police for handling according to the provisions of law.

To prevent Ngoc Chau urban area from becoming a place for drug use, Ngoc Chau ward recently cleaned up and cleared away the overgrown areas, leaving no hidden areas. Now, people can walk around and exercise with peace of mind.

On the evening of June 3, 2024, from information from the masses, Nam Hong Commune Police caught Nguyen Van Mao (born in 1987, residing in Chu Dau village, Thai Tan commune, Nam Sach) red-handed hiding illegal drugs. Mao has been a drug addict since 2022, with many criminal records.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Head of Don Boi Village, Chairman of the Veterans Association of Nam Hong Commune (Nam Sach) shared: “The village actively propagates to the people to prevent drug abuse. We mobilize organizations, especially veterans, to participate in evening patrols to grasp the situation and ensure security and order. When we discover unusual incidents or subjects, we will immediately report them to the police.”

Children have been informed about the harmful effects of drugs, new types of drugs, new substances, and disguised drugs to know and prevent them.
