Who is TikToker Duong Duong who was just arrested?

On April 10, Quang Nam Provincial Police initiated a case, prosecuted the accused, and executed an arrest warrant to detain Mai Van Duong (residing in Bac Tra My district, Quang Nam province; owner of TikTok account Duong Duong Duong) for the crime of "Abusing democratic freedoms to infringe upon the interests of the State, the legitimate rights and interests of organizations and individuals", as prescribed in Clause 2, Article 331 of the Penal Code.

On social networks, Mai Van Duong is known as the hot TikToker "Duong Duong Duong feng shui" with 700,000 followers. The Facebook page "Duong Duong Duong feng shui" also has hundreds of thousands of followers, regularly sharing videos, advertising images, introducing feng shui items, agarwood bud products...

To increase interaction, in addition to posting videos about business products and charity activities, Mai Van Duong also often shows off money, diamonds, and boasts that he sells thousands of orders a day; along with many controversial statements, involving many people.

Most recently, Duong attracted attention when posting a video on his account, attracting nearly a million views. Notably, the video content is related to Miss Thuy Tien and the Kera vegetable candy product.

Previously, in early December 2024, Mai Van Duong's business household (at 163 Hung Vuong, Tra My town, Bac Tra My district, Quang Nam province) was inspected by Market Management Team No. 11 and discovered to be selling 50 packages of house-warming powder and 10 boxes of agarwood buds of unknown origin.

The total value of the infringing goods according to the listed price was 10.75 million VND. Duong admitted that he bought these goods floating on the market to sell for profit and did not have invoices or documents proving their legal origin. As a result, Duong was administratively fined 6 million VND and all the infringing goods were confiscated for handling according to regulations.

In August 2024, TikToker Duong Duong Duong was also fined 7.5 million VND by Bac Tra My District Police for posting 8 videos on social media with false, distorted, slanderous content and insulting the reputation and honor of many individuals.
