Railway industry runs more trains, adds 5,000 tickets during Tet peak season

In order to meet the needs of people returning home to celebrate Tet At Ty, the railway industry organized 11 more trains from Saigon to Quang Ngai, Hanoi and vice versa, adding 5,000 more seats.

On December 4, a representative of Vietnam Railways Corporation said that after 63 days of selling train tickets for the Lunar New Year, over 137,000 tickets have been sold.

In order to meet the needs of people returning home to celebrate Tet At Ty 2025, the company organized 11 more trains from Saigon to Quang Ngai, Hanoi and vice versa, providing 5,000 more seats.

Specifically: From Saigon station to Hanoi station, there will be additional trains SE12 on January 17 and 18; TN6 on January 18 and 19; and SE24 on January 17, 2025.

From Hanoi station to Saigon station, train SE11 will run on January 18 and 19; train TN5 on January 20 and 21; train SE23 on February 15, 2025.

From Saigon to Quang Ngai, train SE26 will run on January 19, 2025.

Up to now, the number of tickets left before Tet: from January 21 and before and January 27, 28, 2025 (ie December 22 and before and December 28, 29) there are still tickets to all stations; from January 22-26, 2025 (ie December 23-27), there are still many tickets to Phan Thiet and Nha Trang stations.

After Tet from January 29 to February 16, 2025 (January 1-19), there are still many tickets available for all days and stations.

Vietnam Railways Joint Stock Company said it will also open ticket sales for train sections such as Hanoi - Vinh route NA1/NA2 from January 1, 2025 to February 16, 2025.

The Hanoi - Lao Cai route includes trains SP3/SP4 and SP7/SP8 from January 1 to February 28, 2025.
