Vietnam Railways Corporation, Vietnam Post and some airlines will transport relief goods free of charge to people in provinces and cities affected by storm No. 3.
Joining hands with the whole country to support the people in the Northern localities who are suffering heavy damage caused by storm No. 3, from September 11, Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) has transported free of charge relief goods from people in the provinces to the North.
The transport objects are relief goods for people in provinces affected by storm No. 3 from organizations and individuals through the Provincial People's Committee, Provincial Fatherland Front, and Provincial Red Cross Society.

From September 11-21, organizations and individuals can also go to Vietnam Post offices nationwide to send relief goods to 12 provinces and cities: Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Yen Bai, Bac Giang, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Son La, Lao Cai, Phu Tho, and Tuyen Quang.
The hotline for sending relief goods is: 1900 54 54 81. Relief goods will be collected and transported by Vietnam Post to the Red Cross of the 12 provinces and cities mentioned above for distribution and support to people in accordance with the actual situation.
To transport goods to localities as quickly and conveniently as possible, Vietnam Post recommends that donors send essential goods such as food, dry goods, medicine, medical supplies, etc., and not fresh food, goods with short shelf life or requiring special storage conditions.
Goods are carefully and tightly packed in carton boxes, clearly marked as relief goods. The receiving address is the Red Cross Society of the above provinces. Each package weighs less than 30kg, the length of the sides is not more than 100cm.
Similarly, Bamboo Airways will transport relief goods free of charge from September 11 to 26 on flights departing from Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Cam Ranh, Quy Nhon, Da Lat to Hanoi.
The airline recommends that goods be packaged in sturdy packages. Each package should not exceed 40 kg and each shipment should not exceed 500 kg. Each flight will carry a maximum of 500 kg of aid goods.
Previously, on the evening of September 10, Vietnam Airlines also announced that it would receive and transport relief goods free of charge on flights operated by Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines and Vasco.
Accordingly, goods are exempt from freight charges, fuel surcharges and related fees, and are given priority loading on flights to Noi Bai, Cat Bi (Hai Phong), Vinh (Nghe An), Tho Xuan (Thanh Hoa), Van Don (Quang Ninh), and Dien Bien.
Due to the impact of storm No. 3 and its circulation, the northern provinces and cities are continuously suffering from a series of unprecedented natural disasters, affecting tens of millions of people. Currently, relief work is taking place very urgently in the affected localities, and relief goods are being concentrated by organizations and individuals across the country to be transported to the addresses in need of relief.
