As planned, the Dragon spacecraft carrying private astronauts participating in the Ax-3 mission will be launched from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida (USA) using SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket.
On December 12, the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) said that the agency, commercial aerospace company Axiom Space and space exploration company SpaceX aim to carry out the Axiom Mission 3 (Ax-3) mission, bringing private astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS) in January 2024.
If carried out, this would be the third mission to send private astronauts to the ISS.
Ax-3 will have a four-member crew, with López-Alegría, a former NASA astronaut, serving as mission commander.
