Improve skills to distinguish counterfeit goods of some famous brands

Attending the conference were more than 50 delegates, including civil servants and inspectors of the Hai Duong Market Management Department, representatives of the Provincial Police and the Department of Science and Technology.

At the training session, S&O Intellectual Property Company Limited (an industrial property representative organization) provided guidance on skills to identify counterfeit trademarked goods. It focused on genuine products of some famous brands of cosmetics, sports shoes, clothing and accessories. Through observing actual specimens, delegates could easily compare and identify counterfeit trademarked goods, thereby helping to improve the quality and effectiveness of the fight against counterfeit goods and goods that infringe intellectual property rights in the province.

Delegates also discussed difficulties and obstacles in the process of monitoring, inspecting, detecting and handling violations of counterfeit goods and goods infringing intellectual property rights in Hai Duong. Violators often change their methods and tricks in the process of transporting smuggled goods, counterfeit goods and goods of unknown origin.
