Due to the double impact of the rainy season in the Southwest and two tropical storms Ferdie and Gener, at least 20 people have died and 14 are missing.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) has received reports of 20 deaths in five regions and the number is still being verified.
Several areas of the Philippines, including Palawan province, have continued to experience flooding due to bad weather since last week. The NDRRMC said the severe weather affected nearly 600,000 people in 12 regions and the storms damaged 930 homes and infrastructure.
