A mother wrote a letter of thanks to the Hai Duong City traffic police for helping her lost son.

In the letter, Ms. Hue sent special thanks to Major Nguyen Thanh Binh and Captain Dao Van Quan, both officers of the Traffic Police Department of Hai Duong City Police. The two comrades directly helped her family find her 6-year-old son who got lost after going to swimming lessons at Tue Tinh swimming pool (Hai Duong City).

At around 8:30 a.m. on July 14, Ms. Hue took her son, NHA (born in 2018), to Tue Tinh swimming pool to learn how to swim. At 10 a.m. the same day, Ms. Hue returned to pick up her son but did not see HA. She called home but he had not returned and no one came to pick him up. Ms. Hue and the staff of Tue Tinh swimming pool split up to look for her son but could not find him. About 30 minutes later, Ms. Hue received a call from a Hai Duong City Police officer informing her that HA was safe at the headquarters, waiting for his family to pick him up.

At around 9:45 a.m. the same day, while on patrol, Major Nguyen Thanh Binh and Captain Dao Van Quan saw a small child holding a bag of clothes standing alone on Nguyen Luong Bang Street (near Tien Phong Bookstore) in the rain, without an umbrella or hat. The two men stopped to ask about the child and found that he was panicking because he was lost, and could not remember his home address or his parents' phone number. The two comrades took the child to headquarters to find a way to verify his identity and address and contacted Ms. Hue to pick up the child.

Normally, HA's swimming class ends at 10am, but because of the rain, it ended about 30 minutes early. HA waited a long time without seeing her family come to pick her up, so she wandered out into the street.
