The first McLaren 750S in Vietnam has just been "wearing" a white license plate from Blockchain tycoon - Do Dung, the converted license plate price alone is more than the price of a BMW 320i.
On May 23, the first McLaren 750S Coupe in Vietnam caused a stir in the car enthusiast community with the image of a white license plate. It is known that the car owner is Mr. Do Dung, a famous tycoon in the Blockchain field today.
Notably, the license plate attached to the supercar is also VIP, with the four-digit number 9 - 51L: 599.99. This is the license plate that won the auction on April 19 for 1.565 billion VND. With the above price, the license plate on this 750S Coupe supercar is more valuable than the luxury car BMW 320i, currently listed at 1.435 billion VND.
The McLaren 750S was launched in Vietnam on April 17 with two versions, Coupe and Spider, priced at VND19.999 billion and VND21.699 billion, respectively. The first supercar to be licensed in Vietnam has a unique, eye-catching color scheme with a mix of purple, pink, and blue, which stands out quite prominently when rolling on the road.
The McLaren 750S is the successor to the previous 720S and has about 30% new design details compared to the McLaren 720S supercar, so it will be difficult for outsiders to recognize the difference between these two supercars.
Still equipped with the M840T V8 4.0L twin-turbo engine, McLaren has made adjustments, helping the 750S supercar's capacity reach 740 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. The car uses a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds before reaching a maximum speed of 332 km/h.
However, the performance parameters of the McLaren 750S are still not outstanding compared to some competitors. For example, the Ferrari 296 is now equipped with a Plug-in Hybrid powertrain with a 2.9L turbocharged engine combined with an electric motor, with a maximum capacity of 818 horsepower and 740Nm of torque. This parameter is up to 78 horsepower stronger than the McLaren 750S but 60 Nm lower.
According to a representative of McLaren Vietnam, customers who buy a McLaren 750S supercar at the present time may have to wait up to 9 months to receive the car.
While the previous supercar model McLaren 720S had previously "made waves" in Vietnam for nearly 10 years, it was sought after by many players, including Cuong Do La. Currently, there are about 10 McLaren 720S cars in Vietnam, most of which are privately imported cars.
