Boeing 737 plane forced to turn back due to cracked cockpit window

On the afternoon of January 13, a passenger plane of All Nippon Airways (ANA) - Japan's largest airline - had to return to its departure point at the airport after discovering a crack in the cockpit window.

According to Kyodo news agency, the incident happened to a Boeing 737, flight number 1182 of ANA. This plane was on its way from Sapporo city (in Northern Japan) to Toyama city, province of the same name.

This is one of the cities with many attractive tourist attractions and is often chosen as the venue for major international conferences in Japan.

The plane turned back and landed at New Chitose Airport in Sapporo city 50 minutes after takeoff.

According to ANA, all 65 passengers and crew are safe. The airline is arranging alternative flights.
