Establish a Steering Committee to implement the arrangement of administrative units at district and commune levels.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 1268/QD-TTg to establish the Steering Committee for the implementation of administrative unit arrangement at district and commune levels in the 2023-2030 period.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang is the Head of the Committee.

The Standing Deputy Head of the Committee is Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra.

The Deputy Heads of the Committee include: Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Nguyen Duy Thang; Deputy Head of the Government Office Cao Huy.

The Steering Committee is an inter-sectoral coordination organization with the function of assisting the Prime Minister in researching, directing, and coordinating the resolution of important, inter-sectoral issues in the implementation of administrative unit arrangement at district and commune levels in the 2023-2030 period.

The Steering Committee is tasked with researching and proposing to the Prime Minister directions and solutions to resolve important, inter-sectoral issues regarding the implementation of administrative unit arrangement at district and commune levels in the 2023-2030 period.

The Steering Committee assists the Prime Minister in directing ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies and People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities in resolving important, inter-sectoral issues on the implementation of administrative unit arrangement at district and commune levels in the 2023-2030 period.

Assist the Prime Minister in urging ministries, branches and localities to carry out the arrangement of administrative units at district and commune levels in the 2023-2030 period in accordance with the regulations of the Politburo, the National Assembly Standing Committee and the Government.

Perform other specific tasks assigned by the Prime Minister.
