For the first time, Hai Duong Province Martial Arts Federation coordinated to host the Youth Traditional Martial Arts Open Tournament.

On the afternoon of June 25, at the Sports Gymnasium, the Hai Duong Provincial Martial Arts Federation in coordination with the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association organized the opening ceremony of the 1st Hai Duong Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Cup Open Traditional Martial Arts Tournament in 2024.

The tournament gathered more than 300 martial artists from 20 delegations with a growing movement of practicing and competing in traditional Vietnamese martial arts, including 10 delegations from provinces and cities: Hanoi 1, Hanoi 2, Hung Yen, Thai Nguyen, Thai Binh, Quang Ninh, Lao Cai, Ha Nam, Vietnam Martial Arts Talent Development Center, Kinh Bac Youth Talent Center.

Hai Duong has 10 martial arts schools, clubs, and martial arts schools with martial artists competing for prizes, including: Nhat Nam, Tay Son Ngoc Diep, Young Enterprises, Shaolin Buddhist Martial Arts, Shaolin Thien Muc Son, Vu Gia Quyen, Shaolin Kungfu, Shaolin Nam Phai, Wing Chun, and Lion and Dragon Martial Arts School.

The martial artists will compete for 59 sets of medals in the following categories: performance (176 individual and team matches) and sparring (36 matches for each age group). In the sparring category, the martial artists will compete in the age groups of 12-17; in the performance category, the martial artists will compete in the age groups of 6-17.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the competitive matches took place.

This is the first time the Hai Duong Martial Arts Federation has hosted the tournament. According to the Organizing Committee, the tournament will be attractive because it gathers most of the clubs and martial arts schools with strong traditional martial arts movements in the Northern region. This is an opportunity for Hai Duong clubs and martial arts schools to compete and gain experience in competing in higher tournaments.
