At the 2023 Hai Duong Traditional Martial Arts Tournament for Youth, Teenagers and Children held at the Hai Duong Sports Gymnasium, the Nam Sach district traditional martial arts team won the first prize overall, ranking above Hai Duong City and Cam Giang District. In this tournament, more than 200 martial artists from 13 delegations from 8 districts, towns and cities, and 5 clubs competed for 22 sets of medals in 14 combat events, 16 team and individual boxing events for both men and women. Therefore, the competition was very high. However, with quality martial artists, the Nam Sach team won a total of 4 gold medals thanks to the efforts of martial artists Nguyen Ngoc Anh, Nguyen Van Hai, Pham Thi Thanh Mai, Nguyen Thai Binh, and Le Dinh Duy. All the gold medals won by Nam Sach martial artists were in the men's and women's combat events...

Also at this tournament in 2022, the Nam Sach traditional martial arts team ranked third overall, after Ninh Giang district and Chi Linh city.

At the Hai Duong Province Traditional Martial Arts Championship, part of the 9th Hai Duong Province Sports Festival in 2022, organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, martial artists from Nam Sach district won 6 out of 11 events and the overall championship. At this tournament, martial artists from Nam Sach delegation participated in 10 out of 11 finals and won 6 events (1 team event, 5 singles events)...

Many traditional martial arts athletes of Nam Sach have been and are developing professionally. Notably, Nghiem Dinh Vuong Hoang is currently a member of the Hai Duong traditional martial arts team. Coach Tran Dinh Nam of the team commented that after being discovered and brought to the Hai Duong Sports Training, Coaching and Competition Center, Nghiem Dinh Vuong Hoang has developed well and has potential. "Vuong Hoang has a foundation of knowledge in traditional martial arts so he absorbs the coach's lesson plan well. He has good ethics, good thinking, is fast, strong... These are important factors to become a professional martial artist in the future," coach Tran Dinh Nam assessed.

Land of "martial arts"

Born and raised in Nam Sach, senior martial artist Nguyen Huu Tuan, is currently the Head of Tay Son Ngoc Diep sect in Hai Duong, Vice President in charge of expertise of Hai Duong province's Traditional Martial Arts Federation. Martial artist Nguyen Huu Tuan said that Nam Sach's rapid and strong development of traditional martial arts has many reasons. Nam Sach people have a martial arts spirit, demonstrated throughout the history of building and defending their homeland. At that time, modern martial arts had not yet been introduced and developed, so traditional martial arts with thousands of years of tradition were chosen as the subject to practice to improve health and hone character. Traditional martial arts in Nam Sach have had times of prosperity and decline but have never been lost, have been taught from generation to generation and have now developed to a new level, demonstrated through the achievements of the Nam Sach district traditional martial arts team in tournaments.

Currently, in the Hai Duong Province Traditional Martial Arts Federation, there are 3 out of 9 Nam Sach people who are the Standing Committee of the Federation, in addition to martial artist Nguyen Huu Tuan, there are also Mr. Tran Van Pho and Dang Van Khanh. This is also a favorable opportunity for the development of Nam Sach's traditional martial arts.

Nam Sach is also a land that gathers many traditional martial arts schools. The Hai Duong Province Traditional Martial Arts Federation currently has 11 schools as members, many of which have developed and opened training classes in Nam Sach, such as Nhat Nam, Tay Son Ngoc Diep, Thieu Lam KungFu Hai Duong... In the near future, the Vietnam Young Talent Center plans to open a traditional martial arts class in this locality. Many famous martial artists also come to Nam Sach to open classes to teach traditional martial arts, such as martial artists Ly Bang Son, Nguyen Xuan Anh, Ngo Manh Hung...

Martial arts master Ngo Manh Hung, Head of Nhat Nam Hai Duong sect, said that Nhat Nam has a long history, parallel to the history of the nation's struggle to build and defend the country. It is not difficult to explain why Nam Sach is the place that martial arts masters are interested in coming to teach. This is the homeland of many veteran martial arts masters of Hai Duong and has produced many good coaches. In addition, Nam Sach people are very suitable for receiving and developing traditional martial arts.

In 2023, the traditional martial arts team of lion - unicorn - dragon will officially be under the Hai Duong Sports Training, Coaching and Competition Center. This is a new development step and the basis for traditional martial arts to continue to expand. From here, martial artists with potential can completely become professional athletes, including Nam Sach - a locality with a rich tradition of these martial arts in Hai Duong province.
