On the afternoon of August 8, the Steering Committee for Summer Activities and Youth Volunteer Campaign of Gia Loc district organized the 2024 Youth and Children's Chess Tournament. Two players from Hoang Dieu commune won two first prizes in the age groups of 11-13 and 14-15 years old.
The Steering Committee for Summer Activities and Youth Volunteer Campaign of Gia Loc District organized the 2024 Youth and Children's Chess Tournament. This is the first year the locality organized a direct competition. In 2023, the district organized an online competition for this tournament.
After half a day of exciting competition, the Organizing Committee of the Gia Loc District Youth and Children's Chess Tournament awarded the competition prizes.
As a result, under 10 years old, the first prize for male players went to Pham Duc Minh (Gia Luong), the first prize for female players went to Tran Phuong Thao (Gia Loc town); in the 11-13 year old group, two players Nguyen Tu Vuong (Hoang Dieu), Nguyen Phuong Uyen (Thong Kenh) won the first prize; in the 14-15 year old group, Vu Minh Duy (Thong Nhat), Nguyen Hong Tam (Hoang Dieu) won the first prize.
Participating in the Gia Loc District Youth and Children's Chess Tournament this year, there were 121 players from 18 communes and towns competing in 3 age groups (male and female): 10 years old and under, 11-13 years old and 14-15 years old.
