Kim Thanh starts construction of East-West axis road

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Pham Xuan Thang affirmed that Kim Thanh is a land rich in potential and advantages, with an important position in the economic zone of the province. The project to build the East-West axis traffic route of Kim Thanh district, phase 1, was assigned by the province to be the investor. Investment resources come from the cost of transferring land use rights of residential and urban area projects under the mechanism that the district enjoys 100% of the land use auction money. This is also a new policy of the province and is the second project after the Ring Road I project of Hai Duong city to implement this mechanism. The groundbreaking project has an important significance, gradually realizing the projects and works to implement the Resolution of the District Party Congress for the term 2020-2025, contributing to improving the locality's project management capacity, and breaking traffic bottlenecks in the district.

Provincial Party Secretary Pham Xuan Thang requested Kim Thanh district to continue to make efforts, mobilize all resources to invest in implementing the project, ensuring the right time. Closely coordinate with relevant departments and branches to complete procedures, remove difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process. Widely disseminate information so that people can better understand the meaning and importance of the project. The contractor must overcome difficulties in material prices, ensure the project is on schedule, on time, and of good quality...

The construction project of the East-West axis road in Kim Thanh district, phase 1, starts from the National Highway 5 interchange in Kim Xuyen commune to Ngu Phuc roundabout, with a length of more than 3.68 km, and a total investment of 232.47 billion VND. The route in phase 1 is designed with technical standards of level III plains, with a roadbed width of 12 m and a road surface of 11 m, suitable for the scale and technical standards of the route. Phase 1 of the project is expected to be completed in 2023.

Although phase 1 of the route is short, it is very important, creating a premise for the district to implement the Project of constructing the National Highway 5 interchange in Kim Xuyen commune, expected to start construction in 2023. After completion, these projects will form a connecting axis of National Highway 18 - National Highway 5 - Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway.
