Global KIA Motor has just revealed the first images of the 2025 KIA K4 model with a completely changed design and is expected to replace the KIA K3, KIA Cerato, and KIA Forte models.
Images of the KIA K4 2025 have been officially released, showing that the design has been completely changed, with no connection to the KIA K3 currently sold in Vietnam in particular and globally in general.
It should be noted that the KIA K4 will be the replacement model for the KIA K3/Cerato/Forte when it is officially launched at the upcoming New York Auto Show. This model will be in the C-class sedan segment, competing with rivals such as: Mazda3, Toyota Corolla Altis, Hyundai Elantra...
The overall design of the KIA K4 2025 is in a youthful, liberal and sporty coupe sedan style when placed next to the current KIA K3. This model also has many impressive design points with a strange body ratio, somewhat similar to the Peugeot 408, a uniquely designed wheel set with a unique front and rear LED strip light strip that further enhances its prominence.
However, this will be a "pain" for users who have accidentally bought KIA K3 because the design becomes outdated too quickly.
The interior space of the KIA K4 2025 is designed horizontally, with a dual screen cluster, HUD glass, 2-spoke steering wheel, and sophisticated control buttons on the dashboard.
Although the interior is somewhat modern, it has not created a breakthrough difference when compared to the Hyundai Elantra. In addition, the gear lever is also criticized for having a rough, unsightly design similar to the KIA K5 model.
When officially launched, KIA K4 2025 will have many interior colors such as Canyon brown, Onyx black, but the most different color is still Slate Green.
KIA has not yet announced more information about the powertrain configuration, most likely, the K4 2025 will be equipped with engines such as: 1.6L gasoline, 2.0L gasoline and 1.6L turbocharged gasoline similar to the current KIA K3. Active safety features in the ADAS package are probably inevitable when this model is launched.
The KIA K3 is a C-class sedan that had sky-high sales in Vietnam in 2021 (10,505 cars) and 2022 (11,404 cars). However, sales of this model decreased significantly in 2023 to 3,205 cars, equivalent to a 72% decrease compared to 2022. The main reason is that the market gradually prefers high-chassis models over low-chassis models and KIA's selling prices and promotions are not as good as those of its competitors.
With the launch of a new generation, the price of the 2025 KIA K4 may increase slightly. In the future, if THACO assembles and distributes the K4 to replace the current K3, in addition to the highlights of equipment and design, the selling price is also an important factor determining the success of this model.
