Husband prosecuted for poisoning wife and 3 children to death in Khanh Hoa

On the afternoon of August 25, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute Ho Xuan Hai (born in 1971, in Cam An Nam commune, Cam Lam district, Khanh Hoa province) to investigate the act of murder.

These decisions have been forwarded by Khanh Hoa Provincial Police to the People's Procuracy at the same level for approval.

Suspect Ho Xuan Hai was identified as using CO gas to poison his wife and children, causing 4 deaths.

Previously, on the morning of August 23, relatives discovered Hai's wife, Ms. NHND (born in 1974), and three daughters, HNKN (born in 2002), HNKGM (born in 2009), and HNTÂ (born in 2013) dead in the house. Hai was gasping for breath and having convulsions, so he was taken to the emergency room. Thanks to timely medical care, the subject overcame the critical condition.

At the scene, police seized a metal cylinder containing CO gas, and a blue plastic tube connected to the cylinder. After examining the bodies, authorities determined that Hai's wife and children died from CO gas poisoning.

Working with the police, Hai admitted to poisoning his entire family due to debt. Initially, the suspect stated that he had lost money while running the pig farm, owed money to many people, but was unable to pay. Desperate, Hai researched and bought a CO2 tank and consulted how to use it with the intention of poisoning his entire family.

On the night of August 23, Hai released CO gas into the room where his wife and three children were sleeping. He also went into the room with his family, but his wife and three children died, while Hai was saved.

Neighbors said Hai's family was well-off and had never argued or had any disagreements with anyone. They had three daughters, the eldest of whom was studying medicine at a university in Hue and had just returned home for the summer break. His wife was a housewife and took care of the family. Hai invested in a pig farm about a kilometer from home.
