4 mother and children died unexpectedly in Khanh Hoa: Husband confessed to poisoning wife and children

On the afternoon of August 24, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police issued an emergency arrest warrant for Ho Xuan Hai (born in 1971, residing in Vinh Dong village, Cam An Hai commune, Cam Lam district) to investigate the crime of "Murder".

Accordingly, Hai was investigated for using CO gas to poison his wife and children while they were sleeping.

Initially working with the authorities, Hai confessed that his family invested in a pig farm, but the business failed and he was in debt and could not pay it off. In desperation, he planned to poison his entire family.

Accordingly, Hai researched and bought a CO gas cylinder online, then looked up how to use it. While his wife and children were sleeping, Hai released CO gas into the bedroom, then also entered the bedroom, inhaled the toxic gas but did not die.

As reported, at noon on August 23, neighbors discovered Mrs. NHND and her three daughters dead in their house. Nearby, Mrs. D's husband, Ho Xuan Hai, was lying gasping for breath and was immediately taken to Cam Ranh Regional General Hospital for emergency treatment with suspected signs of poisoning.

After being given emergency treatment, diagnosed, given medical care, had his stomach washed, given fluids, and treated for related symptoms by a team of doctors, Hai passed the critical stage. However, when he regained consciousness, his health was basically stable, and the male patient did not want to contact or respond to anyone.

At the scene, the police seized a metal cylinder containing CO gas and a blue plastic tube connected to the CO gas cylinder. After examining the bodies, the authorities determined that the cause of death of Ms. NHND and her four children was CO gas poisoning.

Initially, it was determined that there were signs of criminality in the case, so a decision was made to temporarily detain Ho Xuan Hai for investigation.
