Previously, on the evening of September 24, a working group of the Traffic Police Team coordinated with Task Force 151 of Hai Duong City Police to set up a checkpoint to check alcohol concentration on Thanh Nien Street, near the HC electronics supermarket.

At around 8:50 p.m., the task force on duty discovered Dinh Tien Minh (born in 2007, living at 9/42 Tue Tinh, Binh Han Ward, Hai Duong City) riding a Wave 34B4-813.65 motorbike, not wearing a helmet, and speeding.

In response to the incident, three officers in the working group stood in three different positions, including Major Nguyen Hong Khu, and signaled Minh to stop. Minh repeatedly refused to comply, instead accelerating and driving away, then crashed into Major Khu, causing him to fall onto the road. As a result, Major Khu suffered a broken right leg, a broken left kneecap, and facial injuries.

For his part, Minh suffered scratches on his left elbow, left hip and left ankle.

Working with the police, Minh confessed that because he did not have a driver's license, was not wearing a helmet, and was afraid of being punished by the police, he did not obey the order to stop the vehicle and ran away.

Minh is studying in grade 12H, Thanh Dong High School (Hai Duong City).

Considering the nature and severity of Minh's crime, the Investigation Police Agency of Hai Duong City Police decided to prosecute Minh for intentionally causing injury under Clause 2, Article 134 of the Penal Code.
