The subjects were prosecuted.
Regarding the case of a facility illegally decanting hundreds of tons of gas in Hai Duong City that was discovered in October 2021, the Office of the Provincial Police Investigation Agency said it had issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute 6 defendants to investigate the act of manufacturing and trading counterfeit goods.
The 6 subjects prosecuted include: Pham Van Quang (born in 1965, residing in Thuc Khang commune, Binh Giang), Bui Van Li (born in 1984, residing in Thanh Khe commune, Thanh Ha), Nguyen Thi Thuy (born in 1989, in Nam Sach), Vu Ba Thiet (born in 1960, residing in Chi Lang Nam commune, Thanh Mien), Pham Tien Hung (born in 1987, residing in Tan Binh ward) and Tran Van Hieu (born in 1987, residing in An Thuong commune, both in Hai Duong city).
In October 2021, when inspecting a rented warehouse, the authorities discovered 5 subjects decanting gas from a 12-ton tank into 12kg gas cylinders of many different brands, and at the same time wrapping them with shrink wrap, preparing to sell them. The seized evidence included 202 fully filled gas cylinders, 2,450 gas brand stamps, 40 kg of shrink wrap, 4 pumps and many tools and means for decanting.
