Prosecuted 13 subjects for illegally trading invoices worth more than 500 billion VND in Lang Son

The Investigation Police Agency of Lang Son Province Police has just issued a decision to initiate criminal proceedings and prosecute 13 suspects in an illegal invoice trading ring.

Through professional work, Lang Son Provincial Police discovered a number of businesses in the area with suspicious signs of illegal trading of value-added invoices used for the purpose of legalizing the origin of purchased goods to evade taxes and disburse loans to banks. The Economic Police Department of Lang Son Provincial Police has established a special project and applied professional measures to focus on the fight to clarify. Initially, it was determined that from 2019 to present, Than Tien Huy (born in 1982, residing in Dong Tan commune, Huu Lung district) is the Director of Construction Company 389, has been trading thousands of value-added invoices with many individuals and businesses inside and outside the province, the value of goods recorded on the invoices is extremely large (over 500 billion VND).

Based on the collected documents and evidence, the Investigation Police Agency of Lang Son Provincial Police has issued a decision to initiate criminal proceedings, prosecute the accused and issue a temporary detention order against Than Tien Huy and 12 subjects (Directors and accountants of 8 related enterprises) for the crime of illegal trading of invoices, as prescribed in Article 203 of the 2015 Penal Code, amended and supplemented in 2017.

The case is being further investigated and handled by the Investigation Police Agency of Lang Son Provincial Police according to the provisions of law.
