The statement came after Lebanese state media reported a Tel Aviv attack on an ammunition depot in the south of the country.

Earlier, the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported that on the evening of July 20, Israeli aircraft launched a raid on a Hezbollah ammunition depot in the town of Adloun, southwest of the country, about 30km from the border with Israel.
The attack injured at least five civilians.
Later that evening, the Lebanese army blocked the highway connecting the coastal cities of Sidon and Tyre in both directions due to multiple rockets and ammunition exploding, sending debris flying everywhere.
Many residential areas near Adloun have also advised residents to stay indoors for safety.
Fighting along the border between Lebanon and Israel has increased since conflict broke out in the Gaza Strip in October 2023.
Hezbollah forces fire rockets into Israel almost every day to show support for the Hamas Islamic Movement.
Israel responded with heavy artillery fire targeting southeastern Lebanon.
Tensions have escalated recently as the Israeli military announced it had approved a battle plan for an attack on Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah warned of a strong response if war breaks out.
According to AFP statistics, fighting since October last year has killed at least 515 people in Lebanon, including 104 civilians. On the Israeli side, 18 soldiers and 13 civilians have been killed.
