Cam Giang district mobilized 477 million VND in support for Humanitarian Month

On the morning of May 13, the Cam Giang District Red Cross Society launched the Humanitarian Month 2024 (May) with the theme "Humanitarian journey - giving and receiving love".

At the launching ceremony, the Hai Duong Provincial Red Cross presented 20 bicycles to disadvantaged students; Cam Giang District presented 20 gifts, each worth VND500,000, to disadvantaged students.

On this occasion, many organizations and individuals have symbolically donated to support the Humanitarian Month. Specifically, International Science and Technology Application Company Limited donated 1 house worth 50 million VND and 20 million VND in cash; Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Cam Giang district donated 40 million VND; Humanitarian Charity Fund, Huong Tra Volunteer Group each donated 30 million VND; Hai Duong Charity Group donated 20 million VND.

At the launching ceremony, the Cam Giang District Red Cross Society also received 37.5 million VND in support.

Up to now, the Red Cross Society of the district and communes and towns of Cam Giang have mobilized over 477 million VND in support for the Humanitarian Month. From this source of support, the Red Cross Society of Cam Giang district will organize programs to donate houses, bicycles, support livelihoods, give gifts and provide free medical examinations and medicines, along with many regular and unexpected humanitarian assistance activities...

* At the launching ceremony of Workers' Month on the morning of May 13 at Trung Kien Joint Stock Company in Kim Xuyen commune, Kim Thanh District Labor Federation awarded 9 union members, exemplary workers, good workers, and creative workers in 2023; presented 7 gifts to 7 union members in difficult circumstances, each worth 500,000 VND.
