Honda CR-V price reduction of more than 100 million VND

The C-class high-chassis vehicle segment in April witnessed a price reduction race of many products. Honda CR-V is the latest model to join the promotion with 100% discount on registration fee and 30 million VND in cash, applied to two versions G, L assembled domestically and manufactured in 2023 (VIN 2023).

The G and L versions of the CR-V are priced at VND1.109 billion and VND1.159 billion respectively. With the above promotion, the corresponding reduction is VND140 million and VND146 million. The RS version of the CR-V is in limited supply due to importation, and the most expensive L AWD version, which is picky about customers, has no promotion.

Honda CR-V's price reduction comes as many competitors such as Hyundai Tucson and Ford Territory have lowered their retail prices since April. Hyundai's model has been reduced by 30-50 million VND, to 769-919 million VND. Meanwhile, Territory has been reduced by 20-25 million VND, to 799-929 million VND.

The selling price of Honda CR-V is among the highest in the segment. Many competitors such as Mazda CX-5, Hyundai Tucson, Ford Territory, MG RX5 have starting prices under 800 million VND, while CR-V starts from over 1 billion VND.

In April, in addition to the CR-V, Honda also supported all registration fees for the Civic line (VND730-870 million), equivalent to a reduction in rolling costs of VND73-87 million. The pre-payment fee does not affect the car price, but the rolling cost instead. Considering the general interests of customers, the registration fee incentive is similar to a cash discount.

Honda also offers a 50% discount on registration fees for the RS version of the City and all versions of the B-size CUV line, HR-V. For the D-size sedan line, Honda Accord (VND 1.319 billion), the discount is VND 220 million.

Along with Suzuki, Honda is a rare brand in the market that has increased sales after the first 2 months of 2024 compared to the same period last year. Continuous promotions combined with available supply in key car lines such as CR-V, City, HR-V have helped Honda's car deliveries improve.
