According to the Department of Land Data and Information Registration (Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment), as of December 20, out of 705 districts in 63 provinces and cities nationwide, 455 districts have completed the cadastral database with 46 million land plots. All districts have completed the land statistics and inventory database. 325 districts have completed the construction of the planning and land use plan database and 300 districts have completed the land price database.

Thus, nationwide, there are still 405 districts that have not completed the land price database and 380 districts are building land use planning data.

The local land price database is one of the important data to complete the construction of the national land database. The fact that more than half of the districts have not completed the data affects the progress of completing the construction of this data according to the Government's direction.

Therefore, the Department of Land Data and Information Registration recommends that local People's Committees have solutions and complete the system to connect and integrate with national land data in 2025.

To soon put the national land data system into operation, the department said that in the coming time, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment will continue to guide and remove difficulties and obstacles for localities.

Localities also need to increase professional training for officials and focus resources to accelerate the completion of the system of sharing local land information and data with the country next year to serve the people.

Previously, from April 2021, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Ministry of Construction to research and develop a national database on land. In early February, the Government assigned ministries and branches to promptly issue a plan to develop a national database on land.

The national land database includes many components such as cadastral information, current land use status at national, regional and provincial levels; national, regional and provincial land use planning and plans. This data also includes land price frameworks and tables, basic land survey data such as land quality and pollution, etc.
