After nearly 1 month of launching, the Hai Duong Provincial Youth Union has received more than 1,000 entries to the Children's Painting Contest "Proud of 70 Years of Dien Bien Phu Victory" in both primary and secondary school categories.
The entries are of good quality, with many impressive drawings praising the historical significance and contemporary stature of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign; praising the Communist Party of Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh, the Vietnam People's Army and the noble sacrifice of the heroes in the Dien Bien Phu Victory; images of Dien Bien Phu past and present; Hai Duong children following the example of previous generations doing thousands of good deeds.
The works are presented by the contestants with diverse color materials such as watercolor, wax, acrylic... on white paper, fabric, canvas with dimensions of 29.7cm x 42cm or 40cm x 60cm.
The jury will judge the entries until May 10. The closing ceremony and award ceremony will be held on May 15.
This is an activity to educate the young generation about the tradition of patriotism, national pride, gratitude to the Party, Uncle Ho, and the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the cause of national liberation.
