Vietnam - Germany Friendship Association actively contributes to people's foreign affairs

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Duc Tuan, Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations acknowledged and commended the results and achievements of the Vietnam - Germany Friendship Association in the past term. He believed that under the leadership of the new Executive Committee, the contributions and solidarity of its members, the Vietnam - Germany Friendship Association will increasingly develop, making positive contributions to people's foreign affairs and mobilizing non-governmental aid in Hai Duong.

The Vietnam - Germany Friendship Association of Hai Duong province was established in 2003, and currently has 130 members. It is a member organization of the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations. The association has 2 German members living in Hai Duong city.

In the last term, the association mobilized the Mison Bolzano Brixen organization (Italy) to support more than 6 billion VND and mobilized members to donate 10 million VND to build the headquarters of the Provincial Association for the Blind and the Center for Rehabilitation, Education, Vocational Training and Job Creation for the Blind. Members participated in the Warm Spring Program, gave Tet gifts to the poor, and supported soldiers at sea with 25 million VND.

The Association also coordinated with the Vietnam - Germany Business Club to donate 381 boxes of milk to students of Thanh Xuan Primary School (Thanh Ha) and 1 year of boarding meals for 2 students in especially difficult circumstances...

In the 2018 - 2023 term, the association will promote solidarity and friendship activities; continue to guide members through procedures to visit relatives in Germany and coordinate German language training for those in need for work, labor, and tourism. Expand forms of non-governmental aid mobilization to support charitable, humanitarian activities and the association's activities. The association strives to recruit 15 - 20 more members.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations presented 8 certificates of merit to individuals and groups with many contributions to people's foreign affairs and activities of the Vietnam-Germany Friendship Association of the province.
