At To Hieu Political School (Hai Phong), the Hai Duong Fellow Countrymen Association in Hai Phong recently held a meeting on the occasion of the beginning of the spring of At Ty 2025 and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The meeting was held on the morning of February 8.
Attending the event were comrades: Nguyen Duc Tuan, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Minh Hung, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong City Fatherland Front Committee.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung briefly informed about some achievements in socio-economic development of the province in 2024.
In 2024, despite facing many challenges and fluctuations, especially being heavily affected by storm No. 3, the government, people and businesses in Hai Duong province have joined hands and made efforts in socio-economic development.
Hai Duong's economic scale reached 212,386 billion VND, ranking 11th in the country, an increase of more than 1.13 times compared to 2023. Economic growth of 10.2%, ranking 6th in the country, up 7 places compared to 2023. This is the highest growth rate in the past 10 years.
State budget revenue reached 30,774 billion VND, a record high, for the first time entering the list of provinces and cities with budget revenue exceeding 30,000 billion VND.
Urban planning, investment, construction, and management continue to be focused on. Infrastructure is increasingly synchronized, including connecting traffic infrastructure. Last year, Hai Duong effectively implemented social security policies...
The year 2025 is of special significance, being the final year of implementing the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, and at the same time the starting year for a new development period of 2025-2030. Hai Duong identifies this as a year of strong breakthrough, with high will, determination and aspirations for development.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung hopes to continue receiving encouragement, support and assistance from Hai Phong City leaders and Hai Duong people living and working in Hai Phong and across the country.
Hai Duong always considers each native in Hai Phong as an ambassador connecting the two localities. We hope that Hai Duong people will continue to promote and make more shine the precious traditions of Hai Duong - a homeland rich in cultural and revolutionary traditions; actively participate in production and business, contributing to building two prosperous and prosperous homelands, further fostering solidarity and attachment between Hai Duong and Hai Phong.
The Hai Duong Association in Hai Phong was established in 1989. Last year, the association admitted 4 new members; maintained effective work of visiting and supporting members. Up to now, the association has a total of more than 700 members, mainly aged 60 and over.
On this occasion, the Hai Duong Association in Hai Phong organized a longevity celebration for 11 members aged 90 and over.
