Hai Duong Fellow Countrymen Association in Lao Cai met to celebrate 25th anniversary of its founding

On March 9, the Hai Duong Fellow Countrymen Association in Lao Cai province held a meeting to celebrate its 25th anniversary.

Attending the event were comrade Nguyen Duc Tuan, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of a number of units and localities in Hai Duong.

Representatives of the Lao Cai Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and Hai Duong Associations in several provinces and cities attended and sent congratulatory flower baskets.

Also attending were many Hai Duong people working and living in Lao Cai province.

In a warm and friendly atmosphere at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Duc Tuan informed his Hai Duong compatriots in Lao Cai about the socio-economic development results of his province in 2024.

He emphasized that the achievements Hai Duong province achieved in 2024 were not only due to the efforts of the Party Committee, government, business community, and people in the province, but also the encouragement, motivation, and valuable contributions full of love and responsibility from those who are far from home.

2025 is the final year of implementing the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, and at the same time, it is the starting year for a new development period of 2025 - 2030. The Party Committee, government and people of Hai Duong province have identified it as a year of strong breakthroughs, with determination and high aspirations for development. Hai Duong province has set out the main goals and tasks including: striving for GRDP growth of 12%, budget revenue of 31,900 billion VND; comprehensively improving the quality of people's material and spiritual life, building a healthy, progressive cultural environment, imbued with the cultural identity of the Eastern region; maintaining political security, social order and safety, creating a peaceful and stable environment for development; streamlining the organization and apparatus in the whole province; building a clean and strong provincial Party Committee, improving leadership capacity and fighting strength, thereby building a strong political system, operating effectively and efficiently; successfully organize Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025 - 2030 term.

To successfully achieve the above goals, it requires great efforts from the Party Committee and people of the whole province. The province hopes to continue to receive the solidarity and unity of Hai Duong people in all regions of the country, including Lao Cai province. The encouragement, motivation and support of people living far from home are practical contributions to building Hai Duong to become more and more prosperous and civilized. Generations of cadres and children of Hai Duong people living, working and working in Lao Cai continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, attachment, encouragement and help each other in life and work, build a strong and developing association; actively contribute to building the homeland of Lao Cai to develop more and more, at the same time contributing to fostering a stronger relationship of solidarity and attachment between Hai Duong and Lao Cai provinces.

25 years ago, from only 54 members in 1 branch, now the Hai Duong Association in Lao Cai has over 600 members in 11 branches in districts, towns and cities of Lao Cai province.

The association has become a common home to connect, help, encourage and motivate members to develop the economy and build a life in their new homeland. Members always educate their children and grandchildren to look towards their homeland, share difficulties in life through many practical and meaningful activities. Maintain good charitable activities, and make many contributions to their homelands of Hai Duong and Lao Cai.

On this occasion, 4 members were awarded certificates of merit by the Hai Duong Provincial Fatherland Front Committee for actively supporting gratitude activities in Hai Duong province in 2024.
