In a warm and friendly atmosphere at the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Van Hieu informed his fellow Hai Duong compatriots in Hanoi about the socio-economic development results of the province in 2024. Hai Duong Party Committee and authorities have resolutely implemented solutions for socio-economic development and building the political system.

Overcoming the common difficulties of the world and domestic situation, especially the impact of storm No. 3 on the area, Hai Duong has achieved many outstanding results. The economic scale of the province reached 212,386 billion VND, ranking 11th in the country. Economic growth of 10.2%, higher than the national average, exceeding the set target, ranking 6th in the country, up 7 places compared to 2023 and is the highest growth rate in the past 10 years.

State budget revenue reached 30,774 billion VND, exceeding the estimate by 57%, reaching the highest level ever. For the first time, Hai Duong is on the list of provinces and cities with budget revenue of 30,000 billion VND or more.

Total social development investment capital reached 64,360 billion VND, up 12.1%. Urban planning, construction investment and development management continued to be focused. Key investment projects in health, education, culture, sports and a series of large transport projects have been and are being implemented. Many projects have been completed, opening up new development space for the province.

In particular, in 2024, the province issued many policies and allocated thousands of billions of VND for social security work, contributing to improving people's lives. The average income of Hai Duong people has increased, from 5.3 million VND/month in 2023 to more than 6.15 million VND/month in 2024. The poverty rate has decreased to 0.96%.

The quality of key education continues to be affirmed. The work of taking care of people's health has made much progress, with some indicators higher than the national average. The political security situation and social order and safety have been maintained, creating a stable environment for socio-economic development. The work of building the Party and the political system has achieved many positive results, constantly improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization and Party members. The province is arranging and streamlining the organizational apparatus in conjunction with restructuring and improving the quality of the staff according to Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Central Committee.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Van Hieu affirmed that the achievements of Hai Duong province in 2024, in addition to the efforts and struggles of the Party Committee, the government, the business community and the people in the province, also have the encouragement, encouragement, and valuable contributions full of affection and responsibility of fellow countrymen in Hanoi in particular and all regions in general. Despite achieving many outstanding results, Hai Duong still has some difficulties in attracting investment and infrastructure that need to be resolved soon. 2025 is the last year of implementing the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, and at the same time, the starting year of a new development period of the 2025-2030 period.
