Delegate Pham Trung Nghia, Director of Hai Duong Electricity One Member Co., Ltd. said so when participating in the group discussion at the 16th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council held on the afternoon of July 12.

Delegate Pham Trung Nghia, Director of Hai Duong Electricity One Member Co., Ltd. participated in the discussion at group number 2.

Delegate Pham Trung Nghia said that in recent times, Hai Duong Electricity has continuously invested in renovating, upgrading and expanding the scale of the power grid to meet the living and production needs of the people. However, recently, Hai Duong as well as the northern provinces have had to deal with rotating power outages.

The reasons are the increased demand for electricity, lack of water for hydropower plants and problems with some thermal power plants. Compared to other provinces and cities, Hai Duong's power supply regulation is proactive, and it was not until early June that it had to reduce capacity and conduct rotating power cuts, in which important loads were given priority for power supply.

The Director of Hai Duong Electricity Company Limited said that from now until the end of the year, the electricity supply in Hai Duong province will be basically stable. However, on hot days when the demand for electricity increases, there is still a risk of incidents occurring, causing interruptions in the electricity supply.

Delegate Pham Trung Nghia also requested that localities strengthen propaganda, strictly handle violations of the power grid safety corridor, and rectify kite flying activities to limit possible electrical incidents. Localities also need to pay attention to allocating capital to coordinate with the electricity sector to move electric poles under the road when expanding rural roads. Currently, the number of electric poles under the road is still very large, so without capital, it will be difficult to solve the problem in a short time.

The Director of Hai Duong Electricity One Member Co., Ltd. also said that the electricity sector will closely follow the provincial planning to arrange capital for system investment, meeting the implementation of the planning. "The implementation of the planning needs to be synchronized with investment in expanding the power grid. For example, if the electricity sector invests in power supply systems in industrial zones but does not have production projects, it will not ensure investment efficiency," said delegate Pham Trung Nghia.
