The Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs presented 5 gifts to relatives of martyrs and members of the association in Hai Duong province who suffered damage due to storm No. 3.
On the afternoon of September 27, the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs organized a gift giving ceremony for 5 families of martyrs and members of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Hai Duong province who suffered damage due to storm No. 3, with a total amount of 22 million VND.
Relatives of martyrs and members receiving gifts include: Tran Thi Tap (born in 1930), wife of a martyr in An Thuong commune; Pham Thi Tuyen (born in 1955), wife of a martyr in Tien Tien commune (Hai Duong city); Pham Thi Hinh (born in 1932), relative of a martyr in Lac Long commune (Kinh Mon); Tang Ba Nhan (born in 1950), member of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Hai Duong province in Thanh Lang commune (Thanh Ha) and Cao Thi Tuyet (born in 1982), member of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Hai Duong province in Bai Say commune, An Thi district (Hung Yen). Due to the impact of storm No. 3, many families suffered property damage such as roofs being blown off, furniture being damaged, crops and livestock being killed, etc.
At the gift-giving ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Huu Oanh, Permanent Vice President of the Association for Supporting Families of Vietnamese Martyrs, former Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province, former Deputy Head of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs affirmed that for many years, our Party and State have always paid great attention to and considered the work of showing gratitude to families of martyrs as the number one task in the policy of "repaying gratitude". Hai Duong is one of the first three provinces in the country to have completed the elimination of dilapidated houses for families of policy beneficiaries since 2000.
Storm No. 3 has significantly affected the lives of people in many northern provinces, including Hai Duong. In the spirit of “mutual love and support”, the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs has organized visits, encouragement, gifts, and support for members and families of martyrs affected by natural disasters. The support money was donated by members of the association nationwide and mobilized from social sources.
Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs Nguyen Huu Oanh hopes that the gifts from the association will help the families reduce their difficulties and strive to stabilize their lives.
