The Department of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Veterinary Medicine of Hai Duong is distributing vaccines for units to vaccinate livestock and poultry according to regulations.

According to the Hai Duong Department of Livestock, Fisheries and Veterinary Medicine (Department of Agriculture and Environment), this spring, the department provided nearly 3.36 million doses of vaccine to vaccinate livestock and poultry. Of these, nearly 3.1 million doses were for avian influenza, nearly 115,000 doses for swine fever, nearly 40,600 doses for rabies; about 35,300 doses of foot-and-mouth disease and blue ear disease vaccines each; the rest were for anthrax vaccines for buffalo and cattle.

Of the vaccines administered this year, the demand for avian influenza vaccination increased by 320,600 doses, and blue ear disease in pigs increased by 1,565 doses. The reason for the increase in the number of vaccines is due to the strong increase in demand for herd restoration and people paying more attention to vaccination.

To improve the quality of vaccination and create mass immunity for livestock, the Department of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Veterinary Medicine requires the district-level agricultural service center to distribute the full number of registered vaccines to the people; organize vaccination for livestock according to regulations. Assign specialized staff to inspect and urge vaccination, promptly handle unusual cases and count the number after vaccination.

Vaccination time is from March 25 to May 15, depending on the type of vaccine.

Of the above vaccines, people must pay for vaccinations for dogs and cats. For dogs and cats that are not vaccinated against rabies, specialized units will handle them according to regulations.
