The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has conducted an initial survey to prepare for the "Heritage Connection Journey" Cross-Country Race, scheduled to take place in early spring 2024.
It is known that, through actual survey, the route serving athletes has a total length of about 42.5 km, with 2 distances: 42.5 km and 21.5 km. Of which, the distance of 42.5 km will stretch from Con Son to Thanh Mai Pagoda. The route is of good quality, with beautiful scenery.
It is expected that about 1,000 professional and semi-professional athletes, including international athletes, will come to the Con Son - Kiep Bac special national relic site to participate in the "Heritage Connection Journey" cross-country race. This will be the largest-scale, longest-distance cross-country race held in Hai Duong and will take place on the occasion of the Con Son - Kiep Bac Spring Festival in 2024.
The cross-country race "Heritage Connection Journey" is of great significance, an opportunity to once again affirm to the people of the whole country as well as international friends the outstanding global value of the special national relic Con Son - Kiep Bac of Hai Duong. This is even more meaningful when the dossier of the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac heritage built by the three provinces of Quang Ninh, Bac Giang, Hai Duong has been authorized by the Prime Minister to the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism to submit to UNESCO for recognition of the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac Complex as a world heritage.
After the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism conducted a survey, the biggest concern now is that with about 1,000 athletes, not to mention those accompanying them, it will put pressure on the accommodation and food facilities in Chi Linh City, especially when the tournament takes place during the festival.
