Hai Duong simultaneously launched a campaign to ensure traffic safety and order for school-age children.

On the morning of October 1, at Nguyen Van Cu High School (Hai Duong City), the Provincial Police coordinated with the Department of Education and Training of Hai Duong province to organize a launching ceremony to implement a peak campaign to ensure traffic safety and order for school-age children.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, the leader of the Traffic Police Department, Hai Duong Provincial Police said that the peak period of ensuring traffic safety and order for school-age children in the province is from October 1 to October 31, 2024 with the goal of stabilizing traffic safety and order, contributing to raising awareness of law enforcement, in order to control and reduce traffic accidents, especially for school-age children. Mobilizing the drastic participation of all levels, sectors and the whole population to join hands in implementing solutions to ensure traffic safety and order for school-age children.

During the peak month, traffic police forces across the province simultaneously launched operations to strictly handle violations of traffic safety and order, focusing on middle and high school students.

In case of student violations, the traffic police will send a notice to the school for appropriate handling and educational measures. For violations related to handing over vehicles to students who are not qualified to drive, the violations will be handled against the parents, guardians, and those who hand over the vehicles. Absolutely do not allow unsafe vehicles to participate in transporting and picking up students.

At the same time, coordinate with the education sector, schools and relevant agencies and departments to disseminate knowledge and skills on safe traffic participation and skills on handling situations when participating in traffic to students. Diversify forms of communication suitable for age and psychology to help students strictly comply with laws on traffic safety and order, especially soft skills when participating in traffic, gradually forming a traffic culture for students.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, the leaders of the Department of Education and Training requested that schools continue to tighten discipline, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of management in ensuring traffic safety and order. Propaganda for school members to know and strictly implement the spirit of Directive No. 10 and Directive No. 31 of the Prime Minister. Proactively coordinate with local authorities to synchronously deploy solutions to propagate and educate traffic safety for students.
