Gia Loc district is determined not to let new violations arise on agricultural land, and at the same time handle previously existing violations.
According to the Gia Loc District People's Committee, from March 7, 2022 to July 30, 2023, the district had 16 violations on agricultural land. The District People's Committee and communes and towns have propagated and mobilized, and 9 households voluntarily dismantled and returned the illegal construction site; made records, requested to stop the violations to handle 7 families. These violations occurred in the communes of Dong Quang, Gia Khanh, Hong Hung, Hoang Dieu, Gia Tan, Le Loi, and Yet Kieu.
Recently, Gia Loc district has requested communes and towns to strengthen inspection, detection and strict handling of organizations and individuals violating land laws. Clearly define the responsibilities of each locality and the heads of localities that allow new violations to occur or show signs of neglect and lack of focus in organizing implementation.
According to statistics from the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, as of March 17, Gia Loc district had 481 caretaker houses on converted agricultural land that had not been licensed.
