According to Gia Loc District People's Committee, in 2024 the district needs more than 100 billion VND to implement the goals of building new rural areas.
The district has built a resource structure including 50 billion VND from the central budget, 50 billion VND from local capital and 700 million VND mobilized from the community. The above funding source is to continue to complete and improve the quality of the criteria for advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas.
By the end of 2023, through review and assessment, the entire district has achieved 323 criteria for meeting new rural standards for the 2021-2025 period, reaching 100%; 294 criteria for meeting advanced new rural standards, reaching 91%. The district has 10 out of 17 communes recognized as meeting advanced new rural standards. 3 model new rural communes, Pham Tran, Thong Nhat, and Nhat Tan, have self-assessed their completion of the criteria.
