Some sellers said they were tricked by a subject named 'Quoc Cuong' on Zalo, who impersonated an officer and delivered goods to the Hai Duong Province Military Command and then 'bombed' the goods.
Recently, Ms. Le Thi Lien, the owner of a seafood shop in Binh Han ward, received a text message from a person with the Zalo name “Quoc Cuong” saying that he was a logistics officer of the Hai Duong Province Military Command and needed to order a large quantity of seafood (more than 3 million VND) to serve a party at the agency. The delivery address is No. 5, Nguyen Duc Canh, Hai Tan ward - the address of the Hai Duong Province Military Command.
Believing her, Ms. Lien made the order as requested. While Ms. Lien was making the delivery, to gain her trust, this subject continuously texted Ms. Lien urging her to deliver the goods on time so that the office could cook dinner...
However, when Ms. Lien brought the goods to this address, the subject blocked her phone number and could not be contacted. She asked the unit's security guard and was told that there was no one named Quoc Cuong working in logistics at the provincial Military Command. The security guard also said that before, there were a number of cases where people were also scammed when they came here to deliver goods to people named Quoc Cuong similar to Ms. Lien.
When Ms. Lien shared this content on Facebook, many people also confirmed that they had been scammed by this subject into delivering goods to the Provincial Military Command and then "bombing" the goods. Some people said that when they saw the subject placing a large order, they asked for a deposit and this subject immediately canceled so they were not scammed.
Information from the Hai Duong Provincial Military Command said that currently in the unit's Logistics - Engineering Department, there is no officer named Cuong.
The above impersonation behavior has made many vendors angry, especially small food vendors. At the same time, impersonating an officer of the Provincial Military Command to carry out this behavior affects the reputation of the agency.
