At around 10:20 p.m. on March 5, many Facebook users were suddenly logged out of their accounts and unable to log back into the social network.
Many Hai Duong residents were using Facebook to chat with friends when their accounts were suddenly logged out. After that, these accounts could not be logged in again. Some people were afraid of being hacked (losing their accounts) so they tried to find a way to recover their accounts and create new passwords, but the system reported a problem.
According to some major electronic newspapers in Vietnam such as Dan Tri and VnExpress, this incident is not only happening in Hai Duong, but also happening nationwide and globally.
This issue occurs on both the Facebook platform and the Messenger messaging app. The issue appears on both web and mobile platforms.
According to experts, this is a global incident so users should not attempt to log in or change their passwords.
After about 1 hour, Facebook was gradually restored.
