With nearly 100 billion VND 'pumped' into the team, Malaysia determined to recruit Mr. Park Hang Seo

According to the newspaperNew Strait Times, The Malaysian government will "pump" an additional 230 million Malaysian Ringgit to all sports federations in the country to serve plans in 2025. Accordingly, the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) will receive an additional 15 million ringgit (about 87 billion VND).

“We appreciate the support from the Government. The Football Association of Malaysia will make full use of this support for the benefit of our national teams,” said FAM Secretary-General Datuk Noor Azman Rahman.

The Malaysian national team is expected to regain its position thanks to this additional funding. Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that the money will be used to support the Malaysian national team in signing contracts with top coaches, planning high-quality training sessions and rewarding players. In addition, youth teams from U13 to U18 will also receive additional funding.

Previously, after parting ways with Mr. Kim Pan-gon, FAM expressed their desire and made initial contacts to invite coach Park Hang Seo to lead the national team. Currently, coach Vicente is holding the interim role but has not left a significant mark. Therefore, FAM really hopes to soon reach an agreement with Mr. Park to stabilize the team's situation.

If he leads the Malaysian team, Mr. Park Hang Seo can meet the Vietnamese team in the semi-finals or final of the AFF Cup 2024.
